Photographers

Chris Sands has lived in Kabul, Afghanistan since 2005, where he currently reports for The National. His work from Afghanistan has been widely published in magazines and newspapers, including The Independent, The New Statesman, Le Monde and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Emma LeBlanc is based in Damascus, Syria and the northeast of the United States. Her photographs from Syria and Iraq have appeared in newspapers and magazines including GQ, Le Monde, The National and JO. Her award-winning work has also been shown in solo shows and juried exhibitions.

Phil Sands lives in Damascus, Syria and has been reporting from Iraq since 2003. His work has been published in GQ, Esquire, The Independent and The Washington Post, as well as other magazines and newspapers. He is a correspondent for The National.
